Muse Ensemble Slider EKSM Classical Chamber Music Festival

On June 16th and 17th the Muse Ensemble (Terence Tam, violin; Lorraine Min, piano; Kenji Fuse, viola; Laura Backstrom, cello) and violinist Julian Vitek will present an exciting and unique program featuring work by Dvořák , Schubert and Stephen Brown. The performances will close with the Two Fantasies for Piano Quintet by Elinor Dunsmuir.

Elinor Dunsmuir was the granddaughter of Robert Dunsmuir, an early Victoria industrialist, politician and the original builder of  Craigdarroch Castle. Her music was written in the 1920’s but only recently discovered in a wooden box in England at a house belonging to the Dunsmuir descendants. For more information about the discovery click here.
