First Unitarian Church of Victoria

Surrounded by nature, the First Unitarian church is situated on the picturesque Saanich Peninsula, across the road from the Red Barn Market. It is very much a ‘rural’ church in character with two main buildings – the ‘sanctuary’ where the concerts are held, and the ‘farmhouse’.
We are particularly fond of this bright modern venue for its intimate atmosphere and superior acoustics. Look for the wonderful 1999 art installation by textile artist Carole Sabiston entitled ‘Continuous Rhythms.’
Getting there is ever so pleasant. Take a drive or cycle along the beautiful West Saanich Road, peppered with lovely farms and garden markets. It makes for a perfect summer afternoon – classical music in the quiet of the countryside.
